Verlae  ·  Mental Load Assessment

How much of your family's mental load are you carrying?

Discover whether your family relies on shared systems — or one person's memory.

Modern family life asks one person to remember hundreds of things every week. This assessment helps you understand whether your family is sharing that responsibility — or whether too much of it quietly depends on you.

  • 01Answer how things actually are, not how you'd like them to be.
  • 02You'll get your score straight away — no email needed to see it.
  • 03Then, if you want it, a full breakdown of where the load sits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Verlae Mental Load Assessment?
It's a free, 3-minute self-assessment that measures how much of your family's planning, remembering and coordination currently depends on one person's memory, across five areas: awareness, ownership, visibility, delegation and mental recovery.
How is my mental load score calculated?
You answer 20 short statements about how things actually work in your household. Your responses are scored across five dimensions and combined into a single score out of 100, where a higher score means more of the mental load currently sits with one person.
Is the assessment a clinical or diagnostic test?
No. It reflects patterns you recognise in your own week and is designed to help you see where family responsibility currently sits — it isn't a clinical or diagnostic measure.
Do I need to give my email to see my score?
No. Your overall score is shown immediately after the last question. An email is only needed if you want the full breakdown by area, along with the one thing worth changing first.
What do I do after I get my results?
Your full breakdown includes the area carrying the most load and a practical first step. Many families use Verlae's shared calendar, School Command Centre, Handover Mode and Meal Planner to move that load out of one person's head and into a system everyone can see.
