Community Guidelines

Verlae — Family Coordination Platform  ·  Effective: July 2026

Verlae exists to help families coordinate their lives more easily — and for co-parents, to reduce friction and keep the focus on what matters most: the children. These guidelines set out the standard of communication we expect from everyone using the platform.

Why These Guidelines Exist

Family life is complicated. Co-parenting can be hard. Verlae is built for real families navigating real challenges, and we know that not every conversation is easy. These guidelines are not about demanding perfection — they are about maintaining a space where children's wellbeing is protected and practical communication can happen without harm.

Verlae uses automated tools to help enforce these standards, but the responsibility for how you communicate ultimately rests with you.

Core Communication Standards

Automated Moderation

Verlae uses automated content safety tools to help maintain these standards. These tools may:

These tools are an aid, not a replacement for your own judgement. You are responsible for the content you choose to send, including any content submitted after using the "Rewrite Calmly" feature.

First time using a communication feature? Verlae will show you a brief notice explaining that messages may be checked for respectful communication. This is designed to set expectations, not to catch anyone out.

Consequences of Violations

We take breaches of these guidelines seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the breach:

Where Verlae becomes aware of communication that may constitute a criminal offence — including threats of violence, stalking, or coercive control — we reserve the right to preserve relevant records and, where required by law, disclose them to law enforcement or other authorities.

If You Feel Unsafe

Verlae is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.

If you are experiencing domestic violence or coercive control and need support, contact a relevant family violence support service in your country:
